Sayner Pub
About This Spot
Walking into Sayner Pub feels like slipping into a beloved neighborhood gathering spot where familiar faces and friendly nods set the tone. The space hums with casual energy — a place where the pace slows just enough to savor both good company and the comfort of a well-poured drink. Whether it’s late afternoon or the buzz of a Friday night, the atmosphere carries an easy warmth, inviting you to settle in at the standing tables or find a seat by the bar where stories and laughter flow alongside the taps.
The heart of Sayner Pub lies in its approachable blend of flavors and local character. The menu leans into simple, satisfying dishes prepared with care, reflecting Wisconsin’s proud traditions and the relaxed rhythm of the Northwoods. From the generous wings and house-made pizzas to a must-try fish fry that quietly honors a cherished regional ritual, each plate feels like a nod to comfort and familiarity rather than flashiness.
Of course, it’s not just about the food or the drinks, though there’s plenty to enjoy — including thoughtfully crafted cocktails like the whiskey Old Fashioned press or a Bloody Mary paired with a beer chaser that embodies the spirit of the place. What really stands out is the service that feels rooted in genuine hospitality, where staff members greet you with a smile and seem glad you’re there. It’s the kind of spot where locals and visitors alike find common ground, welcome conversation, and the ease of a shared table.
Evenings here carry the subtle excitement of sports playing softly in the background, adding to the social fabric without overpowering it. And on quieter days, there’s a comforting steadiness — the kind of space where you can watch the world go by with a cold draft in hand, savoring the unpretentious pulse of a well-loved pub.
Sayner Pub holds a unique charm, offering more than just a meal or a drink; it is a place to pause and connect, to enjoy the simple pleasures wrapped in familiar Midwestern warmth.

Came here twice in one day. Both times the services was great. Nicolet our server was very accommodating and in a great mood. The Prices are an incredible value. Pizza was great and old fashioned were made in a true wisconsin style. Awesome experience!

The Apex dive bar. All their fried food and standing pub tables, nice beer selection.

While vacationing in the area, we met some friends who live up here for lunch on a Sunday. We ordered a pitcher of Spotted Cow, and a bit later, ordered our food. Our friends had sandwiches, and my wife and I ordered a pizza, their house special. Sandwiches were great, and the pizza was absolutely delicious. Service was as great as the food. Atmosphere was fine, and being Sunday, the Chicago Bears game was on wide screen, followed later by the Packers game. Just before the Packers game was to start, a gentleman in the pub played the National Anthem on trumpet as we all stood for the playing. Very nice touch! We will be back next year for some more pizza and fun!

Sayner pub was amazing. The best pizza I've had in a long time. Would recommend going there friendly service and great atmosphere. Please check it out if you go to St Germain or Minocqua area.

We camp nearby every summer and this was our first time eating at Sayner Pub. It was a rainy chilly day and everyone was there. We waited for 2 hours for a table, but it was worth it. We were able to hang out outside in their 'beer garden' area. I recommend their weekly spaghetti special with garlic bread. It was perfect! The food was served hot and all 13 people in our party were happy with their meal. Thank you!
